The Auburntown Historical Society invites you to join us for glimpses into the past. We are an organization dedicated to preserving, collecting, researching, and interpreting historical information or items
The society meets during the months of February, April, June, August, and October on the 3rd Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Auburntown Church of Christ Fellowship Hall.
Join the Auburntown Historical Society for only $15 a year; each additional family member is only $5.

When the Auburntown Historical Society was formed in 2006, the primary goal was to preserve the history of the town and the surrounding area. After the officers were elected, boundaries were the next order of business. The boundaries of the Auburntown Historical Society start atop Milton Hill on Highway 96 between Auburntown and Milton, TN and encompassing Hurricane Creek and extending down Sycamore Creek to the intersection of Highway 53 near Gassaway.
From this point near Gassaway following Sycamore Creek in reverse direction again to the intersection of Hawkins Hill Road and following same to Hurricane Creek and out to Highway 96 near Auburntown; following east on Highway 96 to include all the Prosperity Community. Turning west of Prosperity onto the Statesville Road and continuing to the point of Armstrong Road, then turning south and following a line to include the heads of Kennedy Creek, Marshall Creek and back to the point of the beginning on Milton Hill.
